Description
Up for auction is a 1943 vintage Pepsi and Pete Was Paper Cup - 12 oz. - Rarity E. Very cool and hard to come by! Bob Stoddard's 2002 book entitled "The Encyclopedia of Pepsi Cola Collectibles" rated these cups at rarity "E" (extremely rare with only a few known in existence, valued at .00 each back then in 2002! I'm starting my auction lower than that price! Measures 5" tall, about 3 1/4" wide at the top, and 2" at the bottom. The graphics on the cup are fantastic! They start off on the edge with a red ruler and Pepsi and Pete on either side of it. If you move to the right there is "Yeah Man...twice as much!". Then "Pepsi:Cola REG. U.S. Pat. OFF 5 cents". Above that it says "Oh Boy! What a big, big drink!". Underneath the 5 cents it says "BIGGER-BETTER". Next to all of that is Pepsi (the taller keystone cop). On the white strip along the bottom in red is "The Jumbo Cup" twice. If you turn to the bottom rim, it says "Size 1 B (I think) Broad Base Gem--A product of Lily-Tulip Corporation, New York, U.S.A. 15869". The cup has some aging to it, normal for a cup of this age (78 years old!). Please review the pics for condition, which overall is very good! An awesome vintage cup!
I am selling my entire Pepsi collection, with about 100 more items to list.... radios, 3D cardboard girls, syrup tins, vintage clocks, trolley signs, paper cups, etc, so please be on the lookout for more great items in the next month++. All items have been preciously stored away for the last (up to) 16 years and it's time to pass them on to someone who can continue the Pepsi love!
Shipping is cost dependent upon your location. I will combine shipping where possible, so if you win multiple items, please wait for an invoice before paying. I provide feedback upon receipt of payment, and I hope you do the same upon receipt of your item. Thank you for looking and good luck on this item!
