Description

Offered for your consideration today is this striking 1996 Negro League Lithograph by noted artist Christopher Paluso.  As you can see, this is a hand signed and numbered piece (861/1000).  Specifically, in addition to being signed by Paluso himself, it is also signed by 6 noted players from the league:
Monte Irvin (a Hall of Famer), Buck O`Neil (the 1st Black coach), Mamie `Peaanut` Johnson (1 of 3 women to play in the Negro League), Pee Wee Jenkins, Jim Robinson, and Robert Scott.  While this is an unframed piece, as you can see, it has been beautifully matted to bring out the colors of the litho as well as backed with a sturdy board to protect it from bends/creases.  As matted, the piece measures approximately 24" by 26."  All you need to do is add a frame.  Of course, if you prefer to see the litho in its entirety, you can just remove the mat, but I'll leave that up to you.  I would say that the litho itself is in great shape, with a small vertical indentation in the lower left hand corner.  The ivory mat would benefit from a gentle cleanup as it is lightly soiled in a few spots.  That being said, this is a very nice piece of sports memorabilia that would make a lovely gift or addition to your home. Thanks for looking!
