    Description

    This is a professionally tanned white tail deer skin from a large white tail deer that was harvested in Wisconsin.   The hide is thick and heavy, but still soft and supple. It is a uniform light creamy tan color and a bit darker on the underside.  The underside is a bit rough in spots.
    There is a large hole in the front shoulder that is about 8 inches square.   (Rifles aren't  allowed in Wisconsin, so the holes are large.)  There is another very small hole that looks like a puncture close to the big hole and there are three cuts near the bottom edge of the skin.
    The hide is so big that there is still over 30 square inches in the center of the skin plus much more up in the neck area and the upper parts of the legs.  the large one.
    The underside is marked with 211 (I think), which is measurement number for a deer skin.  The overall measurement is 57 inches along the center back and 47 inches across the hind quarters.
