Vintage mask by the Kwakiutl artist Danny Matilpi, r
epresenting "the old woman of the wood",
made in cedar wood and painted in red and black pigments, with human hair locks on tops.
It
has very particular protruding shape with the depth bigger than the width.
Signed by the artist.
Some little signs of wear and tear but overall good condition.
A rare masterpiece from a not very prolific artist.
