VINTAGE Progressive Conservative STEIN MUG GLASS DEPUTY RENE RENÉ BRUNELLE
Up for bidding this collectible glass MUG Stein. 5-1/2  inches high.
Some scratches from use but still in very good shape.No cracks, chips etc..
Mr. Brunelle was born on Jan. 22, 1920 in Penetanguishene, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Ottawa Normal School in 1940 and taught school in Northern Ontario. In 1942 he joined the Canadian Army and served as an Infantry Officer in France and Belgium from 1943 to 1945 till the end of the war. He was provincial Member  as a Progressive Conservative member of Cochrane North for 23 consecutive years from 1958 to his retirement in 1981. During his years at Queen's Park, he held several portfolios such as Minister of Lands and Forests, Mines, Social and Community Services.  René Brunelle Provincial Park was named in his honour.
